Creamy tiramisù with crunchy crushed almonds make this dessert incredibly tasty and impossible to resist!

The classiest of all Italian dessert prepared with a little twist to the original recipe. Adding a little almond syrup in the cream and some crushed almonds in-between layers, really makes it extra delicious!
- 200 g mascarpone cheese
- 2 fresh eggs
- 80 g white sugar
- 3 tbsp almond syrup (@Fabbri)
- 12 lady finger cookies
- strong espresso coffee, as needed
- all-natural toasted almonds, as needed
- unswetened dark cacao powder
In a bowl of your electric mixer whip up the egg whites until stiff peaks form.
In a separate bowl whisk yolks, sugar and syrup until light in color and foamy.
Add in the mascarpone cheese and keep whipping until you get a smooth cream.
Using a spoon gently fold in the egg whites
Dip 6 lady finger cookies into strong espresso, a few seconds on each side. Lay them at the bottom of a glass container. Add in some crushed almonds. Cover with half of the cream. Repeat with one more layer of cookies and crushed almonds.
Finish it off with the remaining cream, more crushed almonds and a dust of dark cacao powder. Store it in your fridge for 3-4 hours before serving it.
