Vegetarian meatless balls made with tofu and wheat grains!
In last Sunday live streaming cooking class on facebook, I’ve shown you how to make these easy and yummy vegetarian meatballs.
They are so tasty and make a great finger food idea for parties (when we will be able to have them again), but also for our web-aperitivi during this time of social distancing.
- 125 g firm tofu
- 100 g cooked wheat grains
- 1 inch fresh ginger, minced
- 1 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tbsp sesame oil
- 1/2 large carrot, grated
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 1 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
- salt and ground black pepper
- 2 eggs
- 80 g breadcrumb + more to coat
- oil to fry
In a large bowl mix all the ingredients together, roll into balls, coat in breadcrumb and set aside
In a skillet heat up the oil, when hot fry the tofu and wheat balls until golden-brown in color and crispy. Remove from the pan and set on kitchen paper.
Serve them hot!
Note: you can also bake them at 200C or also cook them in an air-frier. I’ve tried and come out equally crunchy and delicious.
