Light and soft cake made with no eggs and no dairy!
In today’s live streaming cooking class on facebook I have shown how easy it is to make this delicious chocolate cake!
Since COVID19 emergency has started and people have been asked to practice social distancing and stay home, it has become really hard to find eggs and milk at supermarkets.
Which is why I have decided to share with you this recipe which will allow you to make a delicious cake even when you are out of eggs and dairy!
The cake is soooo soft you won’t believe it, plus it is light and low in fats too!
Here is the recipe!
Ingredients (makes one cake of 24cm):
- 330 g water
- 220 g whole wheat flour
- 150 g sugar (light brow or white sugar)
- zest from 1 orange
- 70 ml oil
- 80 dark chocolate
- a pinch of salt
- 10 g baking powder
In a saucepan heat up water and sugar until sugar is completely melted. Add in chopped chocolate and stir until combined. Set aside to cool down.
In a bowl sift together flour and baking powder, grate in the zest of one orange and add a pinch of salt.
Pour water mixture into dry ingredients and while stirring the ingredients together, slowly pour in the oil.
Oil and lightly flour a baking pan, pour in the cake batter and cook in pre-heated oven at 180 for 45 min. Remove from the oven and let the cake cool down completely. Then plate it and dust the top with some powdered sugar.
