Sugar-free | Oil-free Healthy Protein Nutella

Healthy all natural hazelnut spread high in protein and low in sugar – Paleo friendly!

Ever since I was a little kid I have been obsessed with Nutella. I could literally eat it with anything!

Growing up I am still a bug fun of the chocolaty hazelnut spread but a bit less supportive on the not too healthy ingredients used in the product.

Online it is now also possible to find so called “fit and healthy protein chocolate spreads“, many are the brands that sell them, however if you go and read the label you will soon find out there are plenty of hidden not too healthy ingredients, not to mention added sugars and oil.

So I have decided to take things in my hands and make my own healthy nutella, with no added sugar and no added oil and with a boost of protein too!

Note: the type of protein powder you will use will have an impact on the flavour of the final product. I have used Self Omninutrition Protein powder which worked just fine for me.

Ingredients:

  • 300 g pealed and toasted hazelnuts
  • 2 scoops of chocolate whey protein powder (Self Omininutrition)
  • 2 tbsp dark unsweetened cacao powder

Place all ingredients into a food processor

blend until creamy, stopping and scraping the sides a few times. This will take sometime, depending on how powerful your processor is

Transfer the cream into clean jars and refrigerate to allow to settle.

I guarantee this spread is SO YUMMY! An absolute winner!

No added sugar and no added oil, fully healthy and delicious.
