Grab-and-go energy bites, high in protein to fuel your muscles after an intense workout!
Hello from Chengdu, the land of pandas and spicy food!
I am here on business trip visiting factories and having meetings on a VERY hectic schedule. However before I start my day I want to share with you this super simple recipe to make chocolate protein cookie bites!
I have used Foodspring protein chocolate spread, but you can really use also other brands or replace it with almond butter + 2 scoop of chocolate protein powder. That should work as well.
- 150 g ripe banana
- 50 G protein chocolate spread (or any chocolate hazelnut spread + 1 scoop of protein powder
- 120 g rolled oats
- dash of ground cinnamon
- a pinch of Himalayan salt
- 1 tsp melted coconut oil
Place all ingredients (minus the oats) into a food processor
and blend until a smooth paste form
Add in the oats and pulse a few times or stir with a spoon (you don’t want to blend the oats into powder
Using an ice cream scoop, portion out balls of dough onto parchment paper
Bake at 200 for 12 to 15 min. Cool down and store in your fridge if hot or on your counter.
These little protein bites will give you ready to use energy for your post or pre-workout. They also make a great grab-and-go snack!
