Protein Almond Milk

Low-carb, protein-packed homemade creamy almond mylk

If you are looking for a healthy way to boost your morning coffee with energy and nutrients, well you have got to try this homemade almond mylk.

Adding a scoop of vanilla flavoured protein not only will give you some extra nutrients but will also make a creamy mylk!

I used ISOPURE protein powder as it is zero in carb and zero in fats, but feel free to use any brand you like, and if you want to make this fully vegan, go for plant-based powder.

Here is the recipe!

Ingredients:

  • 1 scoop vanilla flavoured protein powder (ISOPURE or plant-based one)
  • 1/3 cup activated almonds (soaked in water for at least 12 hours)
  • 1 cup water
  • a pinch of salt

Place all ingredients in a blender

and process until smooth

Strain the milk using a few layers of cheesecloth. Pour it in a jar and drink up or use with coffee!

I like to keep a bottle in my fridge and add 1/4 cup in my morning and afternoon coffee. It makes it creamy, full of flavour and I get an extra small portion of protein too!
