If you have a sweet tooth like I do, well finding healthy dessert options is going to save your waistline, your wallet (cause you wont need to buy new pants) and your HEALTH!
This recipe uses silk tofu and dark chocolate as the base, the sweetness is given by a small amount of agave syrup, it requires only a blender (or food processor) and a few hours in the fridge to settle.
Here is the recipe 🙂
Ingredients (makes 4 servings):
- 400 g silken tofu
- 100 g dark chocolate
- 2 tbsp agave syrup (if you are not vegan, can also use honey)
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/4 tsp Himalaya salt
Grab the tofu, remove it from its package
and place it in a few layers of cheesecloth. Squeeze out the water
In a double saucepan melt the chocolate
In your blender or food processor place the tofu, sweetener, vanilla extract and salt
Blend it,
then pour the melted chocolate and keep blending until you get a smooth and creamy texture
Portion it out into glass jars or any other container you would like and refrigerate for a couple of hours or overnight.
Serve chilled with a dollop of coconut whipped cream if you fancy
