Easy Peach Gelato


because it’s summer

because it’s hot

because shanghai has got a blue (rare here) sky

because I love ice cream, gelato and sorbet

and because I woke up at 5.35 this morning and had nothing better to do…

I am sharing with you an awesome, super easy, healthy and incredibly tasty gelato recipe!!!! It is made with fresh peaches, milk, sugar and cream, it takes less than 1 h to make and will brighten up your day…Trust me!

Ingredients (make 500 gr):

  • 500 gr peach (juicy – 400 gr cleaned)
  • 130 gr granulated white sugar
  • 70 ml cold whole fat milk
  • 120 ml cold heavy cream
  • fresh mint and pistachios for decoration

Start off by washing up 500 gr. of peaches, which is about 2 large peaches.

Peel off the skin and cut them into cubes.

In a bowl place the fruit, milk, sugar and heavy cream

Pure’ all the ingredients with an immersion blender until smooth and creamy

Transfer into your ice cream machine and process for about 30 min (or more or less depending on your machine).

Now you can serve your gelato or you can store it into a freezer-proof container

To serve it, scoop it out into a bowl, decorate it with some fresh mint leaves

and if you want to add an extra kick, well…crush some pistachios
