Homemade Granola Cereals

I love granola cereals, I love them on yogurt and fresh berries, with a cup of cold almond milk, event sprinkled on soups for some extra crunchiness.

In China Granola, like any other cereal is VERY expensive. A box of 400 g can cost up to 90 RMB (13 euros). Homemaking your own granola, instead, is easy and SUPER cheap. All you need are a few ingredients, an oven and 30 min. Here is the recipe for a basic recipe, you can add chocolate chips, dry fruit, coconut or whatever else rocks your boat!

  • 6 cups Rolled Oats
  • ¾ cups Wheat Germ
  • ½ cups Shredded Coconut
  • ¼ cups Flax Seeds
  • ¼ cups Raw Sunflower Kernels (seeds)
  • 1 cup Chopped nuts (almonds, walnuts, hazelnuts, anything you like and that’s available)

  • ½ cups Brown sugar
  • ⅓ cups Honey

Remove from oven and allow granola to cool . After the granola has cooled, using a pancake turner, gently slide the turner beneath the granola to break it up.
Store in a zip-style plastic bag or other container of your choice.
