“The Four Seasons” – my new cooking project

In the past months I’ve been ranting a lot about being too busy and I bet many of you wondered what I was so busy with.

Well, it’s time to reveal one of the project I have been working on and that has now got to an end and it’s ready to be share with you all!

Shortly before the Summer the Italian Consulate and the ADIS (italian women association in shanghai) asked me if I was interested in working on a charity cookbook project, together with others Italian chefs working in the city.

I was flattered by their proposal and also very excited to work on a new book. My first cookbook was a fun adventure for me, made so many mistakes, but also learned a lot, and I definitely had a blast writing it.
The idea to get myself to work on a new book (even tho on a much smaller scale) trilled me to the bone!

I was requested to select 4 recipes (one for each season), write them in Italian, Chinese and English and take a few pictures of the final dishes.

Deciding which recipes to include into the book was the hardest part! Once I was done with that, cooking and taking pictures was the fun side of the project.

At the beginning of December “The four Seasons” has been published here in Shanghai.

It’s a thick book, that gathers many recipes from some of the best chefs working in the city. The book in fact opens with 2 pages that gather a profile shot of all the chefs…if you pay a closer look, you will be able to find me there too 😀

There are so many delicious recipes, divided by season:

Rice Tart with lemon and custard

Sicilian Swordfish

Asparagus, zucchini and mascarpone risotto

just to name a few and then there is also me…

Not to mention about some really good photography, like this shot…which I love

At the end of the book there is yet some more space for the chefs, with a short profile description for each of us.

And there is me too…

The book is sold at RMB 200, and all the money raised from sales will be donated to Will Foundation. So, if you still have a few presents left to buy, get one of these books. You will make your friend happy, and help will foundation at the same time.
