It’s easy, quick and super tasty and everytime I make one all my guests love it. I’ve made many types of quiche already:
Sundried tomatoes and feta quiche
I also made one with mushrooms, ham and mozzarella (which I havent posted yet tho…sorryyyy)
but this is the very first time that I’ve made the famous quich lorraine! I brought mine to my friend’s Easter lunch last weekend. We had a blast and ate so much food. Quich is the perfect food for a picnic or a party as it is served cold and can be conveniently prepared ahead of time.
Enjoy 🙂
Ingredients (make one):
- 1 pie crust
- 150 g smoked bacon
- 2 eggs
- 1/3 cup grated parmesan cheese
- 250 ml heavy cream
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp ground black pepper
- 3/3 cup grated gruyere (or other cheese)
Roll out your pie crust
in a skillet saute’ the bacon on medium-high heat for a couple of minutes, just to brown the meat
In a bowl combine salt, eggs, pepper and parmesan cheese. Beat it up
then pour in the heavy cream. Stir to combine
On the pie crust sprinkle the cheese
then the bacon
and then pour in the egg/cream mixture
Bake at 180 for about 40 min. Remove from the oven and let it sit on the counter until completely cool
