Cinnamon-Honey Tofu

I made this tofu before leaving for Italy and I completely forgot to post it here. Why does this happen to me so often?…

I LOVE tofu and I never thought of making it sweet until I saw this recipe on tastykitchen and I just fell in love with it. Plus tofu is very healthy which goes perfectly with my diet plans.

  • 1 block firm tofu (400 gr.)
  • 1/3 cup honey
  • 1/2 cup vegetable broth
  • 1 tbsp cinnamon
  • 1 tbsp vegetable oil

Pat the tofu dry with a paper towel to absorb any extra moisture or liquid then cut into 1-inch cubes

In a bowl combine honey, oil and vegetable broth and stir until combined

Pour the honey mixture over the tofu until it covers most of the pieces. Sprinkle the cinnamon on top and let the tofu sit in the marinade for at least 30 minutes

Preheat a pan over medium-high heat and coat it with a drizzle of oil. Place tofu onto pan and cook for 5-7 minutes. Flip each piece to cook the other side and grill until golden and crispy.

Serve immediately or store in an airtight container for up to 5 days

Mine did not see the airtight container…

never really made it there…
