Curry Beef with peas and basmati rice

I promised you a proper meal so here I am today! Yesterday I made myself for dinner this curry beef dish with peas and basmati rice. I loved it! It’s a bit on the spicy side, which with heat is not the perfect choice, at least for me, but I know that many of you out there don’t mind some chilly in your food!

Hope you’ll enjoy it!

Ingredients (serves 2):

  • 250 g round beef
  • 1 clove garlic
  • 1/2 onion
  • 3 tbsp curry powder
  • 3 tbsp vegetable oil
  • salt
  • 1/2 big, ripe tomato
  • 1 cup frozen peas
  • 1/2 cup basmati rice
  • 2 tbsp chopped fresh parsley

Take the beef, I used round steak

and cut it into small cubes

minced the garlic and chop the onion

wash a nice red ripe tomato and cut half of it into small pieces

Defrost the peas

In a skillet heat up the oil and saute’ the onion for a few minutes until soft then add the galic and curry powder, stir well

Add the beef, adjust with salt stir and cook for a few minutes with a lid on

Next up add the peas and chopped tomato. Stir well, cover and let cook on slow for about 20 min or until meat and peas are cooked

Meanwhile cook the rice in your rice cooker

When the beef is ready add 1 tbsp of chopped fresh parsley then serve it with the hot rice

This was really, really good!

Hope you’ll enjoy it too
