Last Sunday I woke up and I felt I was still tired even if I had got a full 8 hours of sleep. I needed to get up and get a few things done, be productive and active. I got off bed, went to the kitchen and decided to make myself a nice, energetic breakfast! What’s better then nutella I thought…and immediatelly I came up with the answer: French Toast with Nutella is better!
So I made them and they were divine!
Give this a try, make them for youself, your kids, you husband, your friends!
Ingredients:
- 4 slices of white bread
- 2 tsp Nutella
- 1 egg
- 2 tbsp milk
- 1 tsp sugar
- 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 tbsp powder sugar
- 1 tbsp butter
- 1 tsp mini chocolate chips
- 1 tbsp syrup
Put the Nutella in the fridge about 1 h in advanced or 30 min in the freezer, so that it gets a bit harder
Grab the bread and using a round cookie cutter cut off a circle…or just use a full slice of bread
Spread 1 tsp of Nutella on one slice of bread keeping about 1/2 inch away from the edges
and cover it up with another slice
pressing well. Repeat with the other two slices
In a bowl whisk together the egg, milk, sugar and vanilla extract
and soak in the mixture the nutella sandwiches
Heat up one tbsp of butter in a skillet and cook them on both sides until they get a nice golden brown color
Remove them from the pan, put them on a plate, sprinkle some powdered sugar and mini chocolate chips, pour some syrup on top and serve immediately!
Lovely…mmm, and now… just go for it!
YUMMY!
