Chocolate Cups with Creamcheese Cream

These chocolate treats will knock your socks off!

I guarantee you.

I used cream-cheese but you can replace it with mascarpone, I think it would be divine! I didn’t have any kind of nuts to sprinkle on top, but if you can put your hands on some, crash’ em up a bit  and use them to decorate your chocolate treats!

Here is the recipe!

Ingredients (makes 20 pieces):

  • 100 g dark chocolate
  • 120 g dark or milk chocolate
  • 250 g creamcheese (or mascarpone)
  • 2 tbsp sugar 2 tbsp rum (optional)

Grab some fine dark chocolate

and melt it in a double sauce pan

We’ll need to use this small paper cups

and brush them with the melted chocolate (sides included)

Now if you leave the cup like that, the chocolate will fall on the button…we do not want that to happen! So grab some parchment paper and put the paper cup upside down. refrigerate until firm

Meanwhile start preparing the cream!

In a double souce pan melt 120 g or dark or milk chocolate (I used dark). Let it cool down a bit

In a bowl combine cream-cheese (or mascarpone) and sugar

Beat on medium until nice and creamy

Pour in the melted chocolate and rum (if you are using it) and stir for a minute or until all ingredients are nice and smooth.

Place the obtained cream into a pastry bag with a star tip take the chocolate cups out of the refrigerator and scoop them out of their paper cups. You can also leave them in if you prefer.

Fill up each chocolate cup with the cream-cheese cream

Now go ahead and decorate them! I didn’t have anything at home so I just grabbed a cookie

crumble it a bit and sprinkle it on top of the cream……where is the focus here???????

I dont know…don’t blame me!

Just like that!

Refrigerate until ready to serve!

Enjoy and happy Sunday to you all!
