I’ve been struggling with brownies for a long time! My problem was I couldn’t get them moist and soft so either they resulted into a piece of brick or they were way too liquid in the center.
BUT
the other day I was watching Food Network and Alton Brown demonstrated how to make successful brownie so I gave it a try.
The pictures I’ve taken suck cause it was late in the afternoon when I started baking and it was getting dark, and well, I’ve already got some serious issues taking decent pictures with good lightening, imagine what can happen when I’m shooting in the darkness….
Let’s make the brownies 🙂
Ingredients (makes 8 small brownies):
- 2 eggs
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/4 cup flour
- 1/2 cup butter
- 1/2 cup cocoa powder
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
In a bowl of your electric mixer beat 2 eggs
turn your mixer on low heat and add in 1/2 cup brown sugar
1/4 cup flour
and 1/2 cup cocoa powder
melt the butter
and very slowly
pour it into the mixer
Take a 10cm x 15 cm pan and cover it with baking paper. Pour in the batter
Bake at 170 C for about 45 min. About 35-40 min check it with a tooth-stick to make sure it is not over cooking
When ready take it out of the oven
and while still warm, cut it into squares
Serve with a warm cup of milk
Delicious!
