One thing I love about my bf is that as long as I give him to eat some sort of pasta dish he will eat it! No matter what I throw into the pan, as long as he sees spaghetti or any other short cut pasta his mind goes like “oh it’s pasta. Must be good”
The reason why I like this is that it allows me to experiment with new ideas, try things out and space things up a bit.
Yesterday for example I had no idea what to make for lunch. In the fridge I had about 100 g of ground beef, eggs and a few slices of salami. Not enough at all to feed 2 people, unless combining those ingredients together and use’ em to make some kind of pasta sauce.
I know this is not going to win any culinary price (as most of my recipes) but this is what goes on in my kitchen. I have to be honest with you: this pasta dish turned out to be quite tasty.
You might want to give it a try!
Ingredients (serves 2):
- 200 g short cut pasta
- 40 g salami milano
- 100 g ground beef
- 200 ml heavy cream
- 1 egg
- 1/2 cup white wine
- 2 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
- 3 tbsp grated Parmesan cheese
- 1+2 tsp salt
- fresh chopped parsley
- black pepper
In a skillet heat 2 tbsp of oil and the ground beef
Saute’ the meat for a few minutes, add 1 tsp of salt
Pour in 1/2 cup of white wine (the dry stuff), turn on the heat and let the wine evaporate
Next up, grab a few slices of salami milano
and cut it up into strips
Add it to the skillet
Stir around
then pour in about 200 ml heavy cream. Adjust with salt if necessary
Let it simmer for about 5-10 min
In the meantime cook in boiling water any kind of short cut pasta you like. Remember to add salt to the water (about 2 tsp would do just fine, but add more/or less according to you taste)
In a bowl crack in 1 egg, add 3 tbsp grated Parmesan cheese, a pinch of salt and some black pepper
Beat it up
Drain pasta and throw it into the skillet
Stir around so that it can fall in love with the sauce
Remove from heat and pour in the egg mixture
Stir energetically to combine all the ingredients together
Serve with chopped parsley
And Enjoy!
