I am one big fan of Pioneer Woman and I basically love pretty much all her recipes which I often recreate and post here as well. All her recipes are divine but this one in particular went right to my heart: her “Burgundy Mushrooms” , right out of her cooking book!
I’ve made it for the first time last Friday and:
a) they are super easy
b) they don’t require any assistence while cooking
c) they taste like meat…and I am not kidding here…they really do!
So, since I love PW, and I love her Burgundy Mushroom, and I love ya, I have decided to share here with you her recipe.
Enjoy my friends!
Ingredients:
- 1 kg of mushrooms
- 3 cups red wine
- 1 stick of butter
- black pepper
- 2 Beef Bouillon Cubes
- 1 tsp garlicpowder
- 2 cups boiling water
- 1 tsp Worcestershire Sauce
Start by washing all the mushrooms
Put them in a big pot
add butter
Worcestershire Sauce
black pepper
Beef Bouillon Cubes
garlic powder
wine and water
Bring it to a boil, turn to low heat, cover with a lid and cook for 5-6 hours
After 5-6 hours remove the lid and keep cooking (PW said for 3 hours but mine where pretty dry after 1 hour…)
Your delight mushrooms are ready!
And yes, they really taste like meat!
