I love going to the kitchen, open up my fridge, look at what I have left and come up with an idea for dinner. It just makes me feel creative, which makes me feel unique, which makes me feel like a red head…I make strange connection sometimes, bear me here!
Anyways, that’s what I did yesterday night: I got back home after work, I showered, blew dry my hair, put on my lovely yoga pants, went to the kitchen, opened the fridge, grab the few ingredients I could find, turned on the music and started making dinner. This recipe came out just like that, with no premeditation or planning and it was DIVINE! Not to mention super easy.
I’ll show you how!
Ingredients (for 3 servings):
- 300 g bow-tie pasta
- 200 g bacon
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 1 can of tomatoes
- 1 clove garlic
- olive oil
- chilly powder, chopped percely
Drop some extra virgin olive oil in a skillet
add one clove garlic
the chopped bacon
turn on to medium heat and stir-fry till the bacon get crispy. Add some chilly powder (as much as you like)
Add one can of tomatoes, salt
cover with a lid and let simmer for about 20 min.
Once the sauce is almost ready, pour in 1/2 cup of heavy cream, adjust with salt. Cover again and let simmer for 5 more minute.
Meanwhile boil the bow-tie pasta, drain it and mix it with the sauce.
Sprinkle some parmesan cheese
and at last some freshly chopped parsley. You are ready to go!
