Roast-beef with Potatoes

Easy and tasty recipe, today it is time to post one of my favorite meat dish: the Roast beef. It is essentially prepared as a main dish but the leftovers can be served in sandwiches or salads.

To reduce the cooking time I have used a pressure cooker. It is also a way to make the meat tender if it’s not.

Ingredients (4 servings): 配料(4人用餐量)

  • 600 g beef  – 600克牛肉
  • 3 potatoes – 3个马铃薯
  • 2 slices of bacon – 两片培根
  • 1 cup beef stock (250ml) – 1杯牛肉高汤
  • 3 tbsp olive oil – 3匙橄榄油
  • 1 cup white wine  (250 ml) – 1杯白葡萄酒
  • Oregano – 牛至叶

Sprinkle some oregano all over the beef. 把适量的牛至叶均匀撒在牛肉上。

Lay one slide of bacon on top of the beef and one under it and roll it up with a string. 先将一片培根放在牛肉上面,接着在牛肉下面放入另一片培根,

然后再用一根绳子将其轧起来。

In the pressure cooker heat up some oil and brown the meat to both sides. 高压锅内放入适量油并烧热,然后把肉的两面煎至金黄色。

Turn up the heat and pour in the wine. Let the alcohol evaporate. Now add the beef stock, close the pressure cooker with its lid and let cook for about 45 min. 开火并倒入白葡萄酒. 使酒精蒸发掉。然后可加入适量牛肉高汤,将高压锅盖子盖上并煮至约45分钟。

In the meantime wash, peel and cut the potatoes. 同时洗净马铃薯,去皮,切片

Now open the pressure cook and add the potatoes. If necessary add 1 or 1/2 cup of water. Pressure cook for 10 more min. 然后打开高压锅,放入马铃薯.如果需要可加入1或1/2杯水。再用高压锅煮上10多分钟。

Once the potatoes are cooked, turn off the heat, place the meat on a plate and let it cool down a bit. Then cut it into slices, add the potatoes on the sides and serve warm with a good glass of red wine 😉 一旦马铃薯煮熟,即可 关掉火,把牛肉放置盘中并使其稍微冷却。然后将牛肉切成片状,土豆放置旁边并配上一杯红酒乘热上菜即可。

One serving of this delicious roast-beef with potatoes provides:

  • Calories: 532  (from fat 177)
  • Fat: 19.7 g
  • Carbohydrates: 26.7 g
  • Protein: 49 g
