I had friends over the other night, so I decided to make Tiramisu’.
Tiramisu”s origins are really debated, but it seems like it was invented in Treviso back in 1980. It is one of the most popular Italian cakes, made of Savoiardi (also known as Ladyfingers biscuits) dipped in espresso (with masala wine) and a whipped mixture of eggs, mascarpone and sugar.
My recipe is a non alcoholic version of the traditional one. I like it better this way cause I find it lighter. But if you guys prefer you just need to add some Marsala wine to the espresso used to soak the Savoiardi biscuits.
Ingredients (for 8 servings): 配料（约8人份量）：
- 250 g mascarpone cheese – 250 克mascarpone 酪
- 3 eggs – 3个鸡蛋
- 1/2 cup sugar – 100 克白糖
- espresso, cocoa (marsala, optional) – 浓咖啡， 可可粉 （marsala酒，可选）
- 150 g Savoiardi biscuits (ladyfingers cookies) – 150 克脆松脆饼 （savoiardi)
In a bowl place yolks, sugar and mascarpone cheese. 在碗中放入蛋黄，白糖和mascarpone 酪
Mix it well together till fluffy. 均匀搅打直至光滑有弹性
Whip the whites up until they get nice and firm. 把蛋白均匀搅打直至泡沫
Slowly fold them into the cream with circular movements from the bottom to the top. . 把蛋白慢慢倒入到mascarpone 混合物
Soak each Savoiardi biscuit into a cup of coffee. 把savoiardi泡咖啡里
Line the bottom of a container.把以泡好的savoiradi排好在盘中(一层就好).
Spoon half of the cream on the savoiardi biscuits. Repeat with an other layer of biscuits.饼干上放mascarpone 混合物。再排一层 savoiardi。
Cover it up with the remaining cream. 最后把其余的mascarpone 混合物倒最上面。
Garnish with cocoa. Cover and place in fridge for about 2 hours.加上可可粉。盖起来并冷藏
